Wow! between us we have raised the RNLI over £22,000 with my English Coast project. So a huge thank you! It's been a fantastic trip, traveling the coast in my trusty van painting at 180 locations, and the forthcoming book 'Glyn Macey's English Coast' will be available from mid October.
To keep the fundraising coming in for RNLI I have set up a new dedicated website at www.sailingart.co.uk. 10% of all proceeds from the site are donated to the RNLI, for ever more! or until I drop from exhaustion and my prints run out!
The coast project was sponsored by my friends at Winsor & Newton, who genuinely do produce the finest art materials in the world. Check them out at www.winsornewton.com.
There are just a few signed copies of my book 'Glyn Macey's Cornwall' still available, details can be found on the home page.
Thats about it for news from the last month! apart from my work with Pete Goss MBE, an exciting new project with the National Trust and a fundraising project for the World Parrot Trust.....it's all go!
January saw my book manuscript and paintings delivered to the publishers, before it is sent to Italy for printing. The publishers have given me a launch date of late March. Just over a month to go! You can find out more about the book and how to order on this site.
The RNLI fundraising auctions on eBay have gone fantastically well, raising this fantastic cause thousands of pounds. There are still over 25 paintings to auction which are listed daily until mid March. So those of you that have missed out so far get browsing 'Glyn Macey' on eBay for the RNLI.
Many thanks to all those who have helped support the RNLI project. The studies auctions have raised the RNLI thousands of pounds so far, and there are still 10 weeks to go, the money raised is being used mainly for the training of lifeboat crew.
The studies were used as prep paintings for the large paintings in my book 'Postcards from Cornwall' which is published in March. If you would like to order a copy you can from the homepage.
There are more details below!

The studies for the book are due to be auctioned on that well known internet auction site! with proceeds being donated directly to R.N.L.I.

The Tamar at Michael Wood Fine Art
Wow! working on my Tamar show for Michael Wood has been great, if a little tiring! I have walked, kayaked, cycled and waded the 63 miles of Tamar that seperate Cornwall from Devon. I have painted the river from its source on the moors down past the majestic sweep under Brunel bridge and around Plymouth sound to the Barbican.
Over 60 paintings later, the show is almost ready together with a book that accompanies the exhibition.
For further details of the show or book you can contact Michael Wood Fine Art at www.michaelwoodfineart.com
I am very proud of this collection of work and hope you enjoy it too!
Feel free to contact me if you would like any more info about anything!
